2015 Spring Read Progress (SpRP)

  3. Waiting for an Angel, 2003, Helon Habila
  4. Admiring Silence, 1996, Abdulrazak Gurnah
  5. Fiela's Child, 1985, Dalene Matthee

Let me also add that I read Paradise by Abdulrazak Gurnah up to page 75 and gave up. Have any of you read this novel? If so, please share your thoughts.


14 books so far, for 2015. Not so bad! What about you? How is your reading going so far this year? I hope it is better than mine.

    Half of a Yellow Sun is good, better than Americanah in my opinion though Americana is also in a league of its own.

    Been meaning to read The Clothes of Nakedness for donkey years now. It sits on my shelf gathering dust. I shall try one day soon. Lol

    I have Desertion by Abdulrazak Gurnah on my reading list. I hope it lives up to your opinion of Admiring Silence and not down to your opinion of Paradise.

      I cannot wait to read your thoughts on Desertion by Abdulrazak Gurnah. It is a pity I did not like Paradise, I would really love to like all of his works.... He is such a fine writer.
